AKA Raising the Roof: The Palomino pop-up camper rides again. My husband, Joe, and I went camping this weekend along a nearby lake. The water was warm, the camp chili was good, and the blogging was no-tech, as opposed to low-tech, which means I was writing in notebooks. I’ll be back to my regular posting schedule on Monday. See you then!
Philpott Lake
A fallen sky has come to life
broken off in one piece
and I’m like a cloud
floating in its bloodstream
under the on-looking pines

I spent the weekend camping this weekend too! I wish I had a camper. We were in a tent!

I hope you had a relaxing weekend! I read the “Tail that Wags the Blog”! Funny stuff, thanks for the tip. : )

That camper looks like it is very high off the ground. I’ll bet you only climbed up into it when it was an absolute must. I’m assuming you had a great time in spite of that fact (if I am correct about my assumption.)
I did all of my camping out with Uncle Sam when I was in the service. I don’t do any of it today. I’ve had my fill of roughing it.

It’s not high off the ground. If you look close you can see a little step stool to get up into it, but I can get into fine even without the stool. I consider the camper my oceanfront retirement home, with it we can go camp along the ocean or a lake. Inside we have a fridge, stove, big bed up top, lights, fan. It can be hooked up for electricity and water, but we can also run it on a battery and propane. I stock it with lots of food and a scrabble and boggle game of course. We also have a little TV, but I’ve not used it yet. My tent camping days are over.

Hubby is talking about getting a camper after we retire. I think I have ‘outgrown’ tenting. First we have to get this stupid house built!
