The Great Escape: The Replay
AKA: Remedy for cold spring weather.
How come it’s so hard to maintain that vacation state of mind when you get back home from one? I don’t want to relegate my recent oceanfront camping trip to the bowels of my archives too soon, so here are a few snapped images for your viewing pleasure taken at Hunting Island State Park a couple of weeks ago. Those of you who know me know that I like to have an ocean somewhere on my front page.
I refuse to put gloves on today.

Don’t blame you for not wanting to give up your sunshine and ocean. Especially the way things are here today in the mountains!

Wet and damp around here today. I could use a vacation! For now…your pictures will do. BTW, pat Joe on the back – that’s a great position and one not too many men can accomplish.

Love the lighthouse and the sunset. My friend in Mississippi travels around the country looking at lighthouses.
The picture on my site is the sky through the trees in our back yard. This faces west and the sun is setting. It seems that the skies over Virginia Beach are on the main air routes. There are always multiple contrails from jets criss-crossing the sky. They can be quite beautiful.

Colleen, I am not sick “again”, I am still sick from the first flu/secondary sinus infection. The antibiotic side-effects are worse than the original illness! I should be back to normal in a few more days, since I took the last pill today.
