The Weekend Storm
There was a blizzard of writing on the Love-Link, the family email group I belong to that was started before my brother Danny died and while he was in the hospital. Words like “projectile vomiting” were flying around, along with recipes for chicken soup and updates on how many inches of snow were falling in Boston where most of my family members live. My sister Sherry described the snow scene outside her house as a crystal chandelier and posted this photo of an angel she made in the snow. Plowing, shoveling, four wheel driving, and walks in the snow were all part of the weekend’s Love-Link mix. Since then, we’ve moved on to spaghetti sauce recipes and a few nightmare waitressing stories.
The Love-Link was started by my niece Chrissie, who has recently put her feet in the blogging water. She is one of the few of us who is technologically savvy and knew how to set up a yahoo group account. For more about how and why the Love-Link started and how it evolved go here.

Hello, Michele sent me.
It seems you have a very close family. The story of how Love-Link started was touching.

I love that picture. It is so cool that you keep in such close contact w. your family.
Makes me wonder if my family would do that…

What a beautiful snow angel. How much snow did you get around Roanoke? Sad to say only a few small flurries here.

This post is very timely for me. I just finished creating a personal blog for me and my two sisters. It will be only for us.. to share our daily happenings. It has been up and running for less than half a day and already we have all left comments. Each of us live 1000 of miles away from each other.. but thanks to this computer age.. we can now stay in touch on a daily basis. You gotta love it 🙂

It’s so wonderful to read about how close your family is…I love the idea of TheLoveLink…such a wonderful way to all stay in contact even if it just a recipe or a film you’ve seen…or whatever…and I would think that expecially in crises times–this form of communication is fantastic!

The Love-Link was a perfect way to stay in touch with day to day updates on Dan.
Dan’s computer went to Johnny and presently we’re working to get our mother on line, so she can share in the activity. She’s a tad afraid of the computer, but I tell her is Colleen and I can do it, so can she!

Thanks for the compliments….by the way my husband did pull me up so there wasn’t any handprints.
Yes, the Love-link has been busy these past few days. I am glad for that.

Fantastic Angel and I’m glad Sherry explained how she got out of there without making any tracks. I wondered about that.

Great pic and story! I can’t imagine having such a close family. My wife and I have nothing in common with the two dramatic bunches we cam from…but, at least we have each other!
