Poet to Poet
My poet friend, Mara, gets serenaded with an impromptu poem written and read by a woman who happened to be in the Café del Sol Wednesday when we were celebrating Mara’s birthday with a Scrabble game party.
I just have one question for Mara: Do the green frogs on your t-shirt glow in the dark?
Post note: More on Mara’s Scrabble Birthday Party coming up soon. It begins here.

I love the frogs, but if they glow in the dark it might be quite a scary thing to see. Happy Birthday again to her.

Hi Deana,It’s in my job description to give Mara a hard time, and of course it works both ways. Actually the shirt is one of the member of our Writers’ Circle, and a close friend of Mara’s who passed away this past November….story here http://looseleafnotes.com/notes/2005/11/this_is_floyd_after_all.html

Frogs? The look like lizards to me. Must be my eyes.

The poet’s name who read/wrote the poem for Mara is Lezlie. She is a gifted writer, poet, educator, and musician……….and needs a job…….

I think they are lizards, afterall. OOps. I really had asked Mara if her frogs glowed in the dark and she only glared at me but didn’t correct me!
