The Meaning of Scenery
1. Do your own thing
2. In your own time
3. Follow your own instincts
4. We’re not in Kansas
Post notes: All the above photos were taken in my neighborhood on the Blue Ride Parkway. In the last photo you can see the top of Buffalo Mountain, Floyd’s highest peak, at nearly 4,000 feet. You can view more photos of the mountain HERE and learn more about it HERE. Review the year in photos from my photo journal HERE.

Wonderful scenery! I live in a pine-tree-zone so I see pine-green trees all year’round, love the changing colors of the leaves…

You sure live in a beautiful spot of the country. My husband is just back from Wyoming and he has some wonderful shots of the mountains there.

I loved looking at your year’s gallery. Neat captions for each and many beautiful and fun shots here! I would love to be able to climb high mountains but I’ll settle for feasting on others’ experiences and pictures.

What a clever post! I especially like the first one, I had to sit and look at the picture for a minute before I “got it” but then I just laughed because you’re right. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! Are all of Michele’s readers photo people? Cause the couple I went to all had lots and lots of photos. Made me wonder if I was missing some kind of “authentic blogger” seal or something 🙂

My husband and I drove through that area when we were first married and I thought it was the prettiest part of our coast-to-coast trip. What beautiful pictures!

Wow! What gorgeous scenery! You make me yearn to experience autumn. In my cranny of the world, our four seasons are hot and hotter and rainy and rainier! :p

Thanks for this great post, Colleen! Loved the pictures of The Buffalo. Isn’t it great that we have a picturesque landmark like that. Reminds me of the Old Man in the Mountain landmark in New Hampshire!

Great photos, Colleen and I can really relate to them now, having just returned from there.
Meant to tell you…I happened to notice your incredible cloud formations up there and I thought of you when I saw them.
