Hold That Thought
This is my favorite photograph taken yesterday at a neighboring farm community where Joe and I spent Thanksgiving. I call it “Reunion,” and it was taken from the balcony where the best rocking chair in the house is and before diving into our lucky pot luck feast. I promise that, although I do have to go to Christiansburg today, I will not be shopping.

You couldn’t catch me close to a mall or department store or Walmart today. Well, if you offered a couple million dollars I’d have to go, but otherwise… NO WAY!!!

Food and love. I guess that is what it is all about. It is just too bad that some folks didn’t get either yesterday. Maybe next year will be better for them.

Thought you might be among the ones supporting buy nothing day. 🙂

No shopping here, either! I am not about to ruin the good feelings of warmth and love from yesterday with that nonsense.

I love the fact that the door is wide open in the background too. It’s like the spirit of love just walked right in.

The photo says it all; wonderful! I’m here at the shop today, while those that are dodging the crowds are coming in to chat and browse!

Always nice to get the best seat in the house, especially if it’s a good rocker, has a bird’s eye view and involves food and friends!

I had a similar day…very uplifting and I, too, am a stay-at-home today, reliving my wonderful yesterday….with a good book and lots of leftovers.

Hi Colleen. This is a fantastic picture. I love the vertical perspective, as it allows the photographer to reach into a scene and capture it as if he/she isn’t there at all.
I picked off Santa at the mall yesterday using a similar technique. It’s a perspective I’ll be revisiting again in the near future.
