Wet Dreams
It’s raining so loud
I can’t hear myself dream
My mind is making quicksand
I’m lost in
With a water-logged dream
still in my ear
from deep down in sleep
I come up for air
Underwater words
float to the top
like bubbles go
POP!
Now it’s morning
Post note: The poem is a snippet from 1988. The photo was taken today after two days of continuous rain.

This is exactly what I feel like after a deep sleep! Love the imagery. Do you know about Rhian’s poetry train Monday? – it’s great fun. Here’s the link http://creativegoddesses.blogspot.com/2007/06/monday-poetry-train-8.html
Have a great weekend, XINE

Send some of that rain up this way! Hard rain, as long as the roof holds, is good for sleeping, a tin roof is even better. here from Michele’s today.

Lovely Lovely, as always. Two days of rain…We don’t remember what that is like anymore….It’s been such a very long time since we have had rain of any kind, let alone a “real: rain!
If you get a chance Colleen, come on by. I’ve posted some truly special flowers from my garden…to me they are like postry.

Oh, Colleen, I’m so sorry you didn’t get the last lion! However, there is still hope. Seamus, the tamer of the lions who came up with the idea of the writing circle, is talking about having lion “twins” where a lion is used more than once. Maybe you could get the twin of the lion you wanted.
I have twin daughters and know that twins DON’t always have the same personality and DO always have different names. Why don’t you share your poem under the picture of “your” lion on The Shameless Lions Writing Circle page and say yours must be a long-lost twin?
It’s worth a try. We are just beginning to debate whether to allow the twins thing, so it may sway a few people. I wish you the best.

I can so relate to this poem, as I’ve been dreaming like crazy of late. It’s been raining “Cats and Dogs” here for 3 days. Dreams and rain, are they connected?
