I love picture #3.The reflection is perfect. Are those all tents along a lake?

Cool that the brick made it there. It looks like such a festive time. 6 is so cozy.
btw, did you know facebook now has scrabble?

Yes, those are tents. They were off the beaten track and I only saw them via my golf cart rides with Joe.
I left a comment at bloglines asking them to fix my updating problem, but I had done that before too. This time I guess it worked and I got an email saying so.
I try to stay away from any new reasons to be on the computer, even Scrabble! See here http://looseleafnotes.com/notes/2005/05/a_winning_streak.html

This whole series on Floydfest is really something special, Colleen. How many would have been there and how big is the town? It looked pretty successful. So much talent in the arts all in one fairly small place. You are in your element. And you and your husband are so darn fun and romantic! You are blessed!

I would guess about 10,000 to 12,000 attended this year. It’s set off the Blue Ridge Parkway, a rural scenic road, but people come from all over. This is what the wikipedia says about Floyd http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floyd,_Virginia

This sounds like such a fabulous event, Colleen. I wish I could go to that Palm Reader….I really love all of these types of things!
Oh, and I LOVE the Brick, too….lol….It looks very very familiar!

It looks like the fest was a success! I imagine you are all tuckered out ’bout now. Thanks for the tour!

Those were all very good and had such a nice message with them. Building community was very cool. Martin was telling me last night the tale about the FBI mess and Doug Thompson’s write up and how they stopped the sheriff in Floyd. How stupid. But aside from those episodes I too thought it was the best ever! As soon as it ends we start planning next year!

Ok…one more thing to add to my list of things to see before you die!

Love the photos, you capture so much with your lens.
I spent a few moments on the napping one. It touched my heart… so sweet, that total trust of sleeping side by side, hand in hand, real love knows no bounds, does it.
How special and wonderful.
Thanks so much for sharing that.

I think I better move to Floyd just so I don’t miss the next Floydfest! But if I couldn’t be there, your photos were the next best thing. I especially love the Floydfest vest!
