A Glass Slipper of Moon
It’s a fairy godmother’s moon
that glitters at midnight
A glass slipper of light
from the day’s dizzy spell
It’s a perfect fit
in a palace of darkness
in a happily ever after
end to the day
Note: I’ve been too long at the ball, for the moon has grown nearly full.

You’re right, Janet! It’s an older photo that I thought went well with the poem because it was slightly tipping like a high heel. I just changed it to a more current photo. It’s a spike heel slipper.
Update: I put the original photo back! I missed the tilt of that moon.

Pretty piece of writing: and a lovely photo to accompany it. I had hoped to see the moon last week at the beach, but it was new, and so we missed it….

Very nice photo and lovely prose.
That sky reminded me of a New England winter. Something I never miss.

It was taken here in my yard in Virginia, can’t remember exactly when, but the tree gives a clue.

Life isn’t but some days are! I consider the poem to be an antidote.

I love the contrast of blue and black in the picture and it goes so well with the poem.
