My Husband is a Super Hero
Watching Joe get ready to leave the house:
“You’re getting ready to go into the phone booth and change into your Super Hero suit, aren’t you?” I said to my husband who volunteer teaches teen meditation retreats, headed up parking at Floyd Fest this year, helped to start a local oral history program for teens, is a soccer coach, went to Asheville four times this year to help my son Josh prepare for and build his kiln, does four kinds of martial arts, chops wood, hunts, plays golf, takes me to the ocean in our camper, and has a full time job.

Wow. Joe sounds like an extraordinary man. You are fortunate…and he is fortunate to have someone who appreciates and loves him as you do. What a nice Super Hero tribute!

wow, that’s an amazing amount of doing. I think in the averaging out of the universe, he just picked up some of my slack of yesterday.

I said to a friend recently, “Joe has his hand in so much.” And she said, as far as soccer goes, “he got his hand a little to far into that.” He suffered an injury playing soccer on Thanksgiving with some wrist bones getting displaced. I think in the photo you might actually be able to see the ace bandage on his left hand.
I actually had a photo of an phone booth I was going to use here but then came across this one (taken this past Saturday) and thought it worked too.

It is neat that you think he is a super hero! He does way more than most people and I imagine he does it on very little sleep. Some people squeeze an extra life into their own by doing so much in their many waking hours. I don’t do much at all compared to my husband who is a full time chiropractor and teaches 2 mornings a week at the college for massage. I gave up trying to be super woman!

That’s awesome! Our kids need as much guidance as can be gotten from every good mind and heart they interact with.

It’s always nice when you realize that the man you married is the hero you always dreamed of. I’m glad to be one of those fortunate gals, and glad you are too.
