Love your new year photos, especially the mailbox. I bet you could write a poem about that one all by itself… (a challenge?)
Have a great weekend!

Thanks for clearing up the missing cow head dilemma. I saw the headless cow last year and I was imagining many scary stories behind it. Thoughts from aliens to Ichabod to LSD littered my imagination. But the story about a free-spirited Floyd dog is just as good..

I feel bad for the cow and the mail box.

#1 is the first photo I took in the New Year. I’ve really been drawn to the shadows the low sun has been casting.
#2 Someone stole the head of the cow statue that sits in front of the Harvest Moon health food store. The local paper did a story on it. Margie, the HM owner recently ordered the cow a new head, which it is currently wearing.
#3 Joe’s favorite T shirt hanging on the line, taken a month or so ago.
#4 My farmer neighbor’s defunct mailbox.
Joe’s been away since Christmas and last night I went through some core issues related to my sense of security. They weren’t necessarily about Joe being away but having him away exasperated them. So the overall theme of the photos I posted was related to the mood I am moving through. Joe will be home by the morning.
PS From everything I’ve heard the dog is fine, but is no longer at the Moon. It was “rescued,” spayed and given shots and placed in a home, I believe.

Your “cow” reminded me of a very interesting movie I have with balloon cows while I was living overseas…just need to figure out how to capture a picture from it and work it into a blog!
