What beautiful shots! I love the one of the “butterfly bar.” Aren’t coneflowers wonderful?

Flower shower! ooh, lovely phrase. Nice to get these walkabouts done. They refresh the soul even when I go out reluctantly into the sun(burn).

Gorgeous shots, Colleen! The rhododendron is beautiful. I used to see a lot of it in the woods when I travel up Rte. 77, but I didn’t see any in bloom last week. :-/

I love the first one!!!

The Rhododendrons are in peak bloom right now, up and down the parkway and our driveway. In the fall we drive the parkway for the leaves, in July it’s for rhododendrons.

We never get those spectacular varieties of butterfly here – just your “garden-variety” Monarchs which, though beautiful, can’t hold a candle to your visitors.
We do have a ‘butterfly farm” down the road where we can see some gorgeous lepidoptera in all their phases.
