February’s Drawn Conclusion
I expose my pale skin
like a virgin to the sun
air it out of storage
access the winter damage
I warm up slowly
like a bud turned over
to the growing possiblity
of posing nude for spring

You have way more courage than I could ever have, Colleen. I guess that’s why I prefer to hide behind the lens!
The sun has just poked its head out, and the snow’s melting furiously fast. Your poem couldn’t be more timely. Tanya asked me to drop by to thank you for this.

Can you believe it was sunny and got up to 60 something here yesterday? I thought this poem fit well with the Floyd Art Opening weekend I’ve had. With another Art Opening last night Art Opening II is coming soon.

Oh, I love the idea…I think you should…
And, Killian told me to tell you – that indeed I have … and I loved it! Would do it again in a second flat.

What a great little verse, however I wouldn’t recommend nudity in the UK atm as we are in the throes of a snowy winter!
Netchick sent me to say hi!

Yes, we hit the 60s also. I took a hike…but not nude.

As to the “Frock” for CQ’s Party….Indeed, I DO dress more like Whoppie, NUT, because it is “Let’s Pretend”…I think that #2 is my choice….The colors are so Me!…lol…I hope to see you there at the “DO”….!

you know what? if it would bring spring sooner, I would go do the Scandinavian thing and go roll around in the snow naked. I am so tired of cold and wind and snow!

I took a nap in the sun on my deck – but not nude…..LOL

You are a brave woman. I have an award for you. Stop by and pick it up when you have time. ((hugs))

I took your poem literally, as in posing for “spring” the season. Something, we all love to do, yes? Then the comments made me think of you posing for us to draw. We love drawing people of all ages and many of our mature women decline to pose nude. And we do love bodies with history, so show us all you’d like. You are so well preserved, you should be proud.

I pose nude for the spring and summer all the time on my front porch. The poem came just after the Faces of Floyd exhibit and telling Toni that I would sit for you all again but I’m not likely to be nude. I guess I’m going through my second childhood and feeling more modest than I have in the past. But thanks for you encouragement, Chris.

I’ve been lying down on the dock with my pants legs pulled up as far as I can get them, my sleeves pulled up and my belly exposed. That is as close as I’ve gotten. I am always shocked at how quickly my skin has gone back to a super white crackly look!
