As Wet as That
Spring sky wept
into overwhelmed puddles
Hooded jonquils huddled
like drunks at a bar
Spring sky wept
into overwhelmed puddles
Hooded jonquils huddled
like drunks at a bar

It just started raining again here… now, waiting for the promised thunderstorms. This may be the first thunderstorms since Daisy arrived so I don’t know how scared she will get with all the booming noise. But even though we had a bunch of rain this week, we need a little more… I just planted three azaleas in front… so rain away!

Hooded daffodils……I like that. I have a few of those here. It has been raining almost steadily for 2 days; very hard part of the time. I thought showers were supposed to come in April and bring May flowers!!

I now sit this morning in a fleecy blanket of fog that was left after the steady rains.

I love that last line. I posted what someone termed “bare-knuckle” haiku yesterday. I couldn’t help it; it was what I saw and it just stuck in my mind until I got it out there.
