Moon Peace
The moon is a mutiny
a one bubble revolution
escape from the sky-sea
of sudsy clouds
It floats across the heavens
like a flower child pagan
in peaceful demonstration
against the status
quo

This is nothing short of fantastically written.
I love how the moon will pull at my peripheral vision sometimes, when I am focused on the world under my feet, and then rip my concentration away and pull my gaze to it. How brightly it shines in the black sky, the simple beauty of its shape. I love it when you write about the moon!!

I so glad you like my moon poems, Poe. I like knowing that we all live under the same moon and are effected by it. This is an older poem, maybe 10 years old. I wish I had the perfect photo to go with it. I saw the moon last night and it looked like a thumbprint but I already posted a poem about that, http://looseleafnotes.com/notes/2009/12/evidence.html so I pulled this one out. Muses like Moonlight.

This a wonderful composition. It intrigues me both intellectually and visually. You are a master at words, Colleen. That little pagan woke me up at 3:00 this morning shining through my bedroom window as I have not yet saved up for drapes!
