Over Easy Easter
With Joe off leading a teen meditation retreat, the extent of my Easter weekend so far has been taking photos of orchards in the produce section while grocery shopping at Krogers and putting forsythia on the table. I also sent out two pop-up Easter cards; one to my mother and one to my grandson. Although I’m going to miss our yearly Easter brunch at the Winery and hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway, this morning I enjoyed marveling at the variety of April’s birdsong. Some chirp, whistle, whoo, or coo and others literally tweet. After listening, I went back to replacing the dark winter clothes in my closet with spring ones.

Beautiful flowers. Did they look at you funny. I took pictures in our grocery and the looks were so entertaining.

I tried not to look at anyone and just acted like I knew what I was doing. I tried to keep it contained, taking only about 3-4 shots when I really wanted to go all out. The one posted here was not my favorite (the almost look sickly with a rash!) but I was snapping so quickly that most of them didn’t come out clear. The whole time I was thinking of Carmi from Writtten Inc because he frequently takes supermarket photos. He gave me courage!

Beautiful. I need to start doing this….I sometimes do this in thrift stores and truck stops. There are a lot of unusual finds that I would love to show people….and you can’t buy everything that is neat at the store.
I am glad that you are having some nice moments in your Easter.

The flowers sure look pretty, but they do look like they have the measles in positive sort of way. xo
