Floyd Graduation 2010
The following is a selection of Floyd County High School graduation photos, most of which appeared in The Floyd Press on June 10, 2010.
The auditorium was full of graduating seniors and their family and friends for the 48th Graduation Program of Floyd County High School Sunday afternoon.
Teachers greeted each graduating senior and assisted to straighten caps and gowns before students made their way to the stage to receive their diplomas.
Principal Barry Hollandsworth congratulates a newly graduated senior as Superintendent Terry Arbogast looks on. Vice Principal G. Tony Deibler is at the podium. Class Salutatorian William Conley and Class President Brooke Williams are seated on the right.
Creatively decorated mortarboards are a graduation tradition for some seniors.
Some parents and relatives took pictures of the graduates with their cell phones.
Graduates, family members, and friends congregate in the school parking lot to celebrate the milestone occasion.
Summer Rain Ursomarso and Cody Caldwell are all smiles.
A thumbs up from one graduate says it all.
