It looks like the end of that barn is collapsing a bit… a copper roof? Guard that one! I particularly like the second picture with the see of black-eyed susan in the foreground.

I really like your shots this week. Are those black eyed susans? Beautiful.

Yes, and many of the barns I have photographed in the past few weeks are in worse shape than any of these. That’s the charm in them sometimes.

Barns – we don’t really have them in Australia, they are called sheds, and generally hang out in the middle of nowhere.
I have added a late linky to my WW post, come back and join the party, or drop by next week when I am more organised.

We have many falling down tobacco barns around us. Your photos are inspiring. I think I know where that apple barn is.

Looks like Old McDonald needs a new barn. Great capture of colors.

The first picture reminds me a bit on the barn my Grandad had and all the fun times I had as a child playing around in it…those were good times!

Great series. I like the second one the best.

The weathered subtle textures of the barn juxtaposed with the black eyed susans is very cool. I also like your blog title–I loved the sound of “loose leaf” when I was in school–and the also “foolscap.”

There is something great about an old barn isn’t there?
These are all wonderful….they make me want to write short stories and lay in a pile of sweet smelling hay.

Gotta love those old barns with character!
