Beautiful Monarch. My last one emerged yesterday and did not seem to want to leave, but finally did. Their migration has begun and those we see now are likely from further north. I do hope they make it with all the rain we are getting this week. Next year along with more milkweed, I must remember to plant a few more fall blooming plants to give them sources of nectar on their trip south.
I absolutely love the cows too… they look as if they are lining up for their portrait!

picturesque season.
many morning I go out and see morning glories and make a mental note to come back with a camera and only remember to go out again after they’ve closed.

Lovely photographs. The cows appear to be having a conference, perhaps they are planning to break into the barn full of hay.

I particularly love the barn shot. Our pumpkins suffered from the heat.

Thank you, Stuart. I thought of you yesterday an wondered if you were still reading. Nice to hear from you.
Yes Tabor, I try to grow pumpkins every year. We only got about half a dozen this year. Others rotted on the vine.
Here’s where those pumpkins ended up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhF16UpyRdQ
