I haven’t had the time or energy to decorate…. just a pumpkin and my “watch dog”.

These are all scenes from downtown Floyd: The Harvest Moon Food Store, noteBooks and the Black Water Loft, and DJ’s Drive-inn.

I did finally get around to bringing up a few ceramic pumpkins and a few plastic spiders…but that will be the extent of my decorating.

normally we BOO with:
a large homemade ghost we hang near the entrance
pumpkin lights strung along the doorway area
a wagon filled with hay, pumpkins and gourds with a small scarecrow sitting in the front near the handle of the wagon
a skeleton holding a lighted pumpkin next to the double doors
a huge jack-0-lantern with a light under a tall bay window
a jack-0-lantern with a light in the window
skulls sitting on the courtyard wall
a pumpkin garden flag
the sound of witches cackling across the courtyard
this year it has rained so hard and so much we did not put out all of our goodies…only the jack-0-lanterns, skeleton, and skulls 🙁

We don’t do much, for one thing no one has ever trick or treated here, so off the beaten track. I put out a pot of mums and pumpkins from my garden. Nature does the rest. Leaves!
