Snow and All That Hoopla
Fresh off a plane ride from Boston (where it hasn’t snowed yet), I stopped at Winterfest at the Jacksonville Center to take some pictures for the local paper, but vendors were closing down early because of the snow and I didn’t even get to see Santa. All fun was not lost though. Ilima Ursomarso surprised me with the gift of a hula hoop as a thank you for an All About HER story I wrote about her career as a dancer and a dance instructor. A pretty good writers, perk, I’d say.
Post notes: You can watch the Winterfest hoop action HERE, and read the story I wrote about Ilima HERE.

I’m impressed at your hula hoop skills — in the snow, yet! Annie

WOW! You got quite a bit…. we got what would be called a dusting… but there must have been some ice in the mix as the expressways had some trouble on Sunday morning with black ice. By two in the afternoon ours was gone but… brrrrrr…. cold for here. Glad you got back ok. I always wonder about flights these days… I haven’t flown in years and the flights were already starting to get super, uber crowded then and late and lost luggage.. etc. Nyssa is flying here from Reno on Southwest… I think about the only airline that does NOT charge for checked luggage these days.

I never check luggage for state to state travel. This trip went without a hitch but I do have some HORROR travel stories I’d like to forget ever happened.
