Tis the Season
On Christmas Eve day we waited for baby Liam’s Paddington Bear to be delivered by UPS. We fed the scraped bottoms of burnt Christmas cookies to the birds and enjoyed a walk in the snowy woods.
A Christmas Eve dinner of spaghetti made with venison sausage was followed by the unwrapping of gifts, adventure play with Bryce, and a dramatic reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas.
The stockings were hung by the counter with care and emptied of clementine oranges, ginger cookies and buffalo jerky.
We brushed 3 inches of snow off the car Christmas Day and made the mile long trek to Zephyr Farm for turkey dinner. We brushed off another few inches a few hours later for the ride home.
Times have changed. At our pre-dinner blessing circle, instead of singing our usual giving-thanks song, we sang the Eensy Weensy Spider for one of the farm grandkids. But some things don’t change. We still play Taboo. Video clip HERE.

We played taboo on Thanksgiving. I love the warmth of your home and the ‘old-fashioned’ things that you do. Wonderful photos. So very glad you had such a nice Christmas.

Your house looks so warm and cozy (even with all that snow outside!)
I remember Paddington Bear! Haven’t thought of him since I was a kid.
I had also forgotten how much fun it is to play Taboo!
