That old Ford brought back a deeply buried memory of my grandfather’s car… a Ford Fairlane 500… I think that was a car anyway. He babied that car and though it was older, it looked in mint condition all the time. After grandpa died, my grandma drove it until her Alzheimer’s became obvious and then the folks sold it. It might still be somewhere in the Roanoke area for all I know.
