The Stink Bugs Me
Something stinks in Denmark and on my desk. Stink bugs. Like skunks, they make you want to stay clear. They seem to have learned how to fly and they multiply. They aren’t cute like the ladybugs we were infested with last year. I’ve been all together too nice to them and I think they’re taking advantage. I’ve brushed them off and dumped them in the trash but they come right back. I carried one outside by the legs but its squirming made me queasy and I dropped it.
But where is a stink but when you want one? Maybe that’s the way to get rid of them, plan to take a picture and expose them on the internet and you won’t be able to find one.
Update: A day after posting this and after all the stink bugs hid, I spotted the above one crawling across a page in my notebook.

They don’t stink until you squish them!

Yeck??!! I don’t like this type of post……it gives me the creeps. They are so ugly and too many!!!
Remember the movie…….Hellstrongs Cronicle? Kill all insects because they are over taking our world!
We saw it back in the 60’s.

They are quite odiferous aren’t they. The ladybug infestations happen cyclically and in the fall you can collect them and store them in the fridge where they will hibernate. Then in the spring, when it is warmer.. say April or early May.. let them warm up and release them in the garden. At least some will survive and work on the nasty aphids.

I saw one on the house outside today – but I have never smelled one.
