The 13 Thursday Orbit
1. Renting movies that are due back the next day is sort of like taking Viagra without knowing if you’ll be in the mood.
2. CNN: Is it possible to have a safe nuclear power plant? Helen Caldicott: No.
3. I have two stories in THIS real page turner.
4. Interactive outer space light show HERE.
5. When my brother Jimmy died, one of my young nephews, who was about three at the time, asked if Jimmy was an astronaut now.
6. My two little astronauts are HERE.
7. Today my 2 ½ year old grandson Bryce peed in his potty, called me over to see, held out his arm and said, “ta da!”
8. The next day after babysitting Bryce and his 7 month old brother Liam, my arms are sore as if I’d been lifting weights, from carrying Liam around.
9. I think the letter W is more exciting than the letter M. Just look at the difference between Mild and Wild.
10. Space euphoria: Do Our Brains Change When We Travel in Outer Space? More HERE.
11. I’ll never forget reading a story in Parade magazine in 1985 about Russian cosmonauts seeing angels in outer space. HERE’S what I was able to find.
12. When we were kids we thought the two shoulder blade bones that stuck out on our backs were where our wings went before we were born and were angels.
13. “We think the earth could be transformed if somehow you could lift people up to the moon. Or even out into space and let them see. We think that the bickering and fighting and the hostility is a big waste of man’s inner energy.” Astronaut James Irwin – Apollo moon flight.
More Thirteen Thursdays HERE.

I’m not the only one who thought my shoulderblades proved I had wings in the life before. I’m so happy!

#3. I wish I’d picked up a copy of that “real page turner” today when I saw it, but I thought I didn’t have time to read it this week. I’ll find a copy, though, and read what you wrote. Congratulations, Colleen!

Thanks, Bonnie. I don’t think you have the same one in Tennessee, though. Ours is for Southwest Virginia. It is a franchise magazine that pulls from national articles and blends them with regional ones.
