Hoop Down at Dogtown

Somewhere in between covering Floyd’s big Earth Day expo, Land’s Sake, and going to the relocation opening of Troika gallery, we managed to celebrate our  old friend Marsh’s and his wife Dana’s visit to Floyd with some impromptu hooping at Dogtown’s Winter Sun. Watch the videos HERE and  HERE.

    OK…. I remember when the hoola-hoop came out…. everyone begged and begged for one. This really dates me doesn’t it. I remember wanting a striped one with the stuff inside that made it make a swishing sound when you worked it. Being the clutz though… I was never very good…. guess that is why belly dancing would not be my choice of activities either… that unique undulating motion that gets and keeps the hoop going is NOT in my DNA.
