Lighten Your Load
This is the view from the porch swing I’m swinging on, on the porch of a friend in D.C., after participating in a daylong intensive workshop on the Initiated Soul by Micheal Meade. I am in the shade but am being invited into the sun. I’m not quite ready, though, because I’m using the chair, not to sit on, but as a focal point for contemplation. I’m contemplating the division of spirit and soul and noticing the delight I feel at looking at the chair being balanced by an imaginary railing and not knowing exactly where shadow leaves off and matter begins. ~ More Shadow Sunday shots HERE

I love your shot…and I love the thought that you shared with it. You always inspire me to look at things in a new way, and to think deeper than what is first apparent.

I love that the width of the slats on the chair and those on the railing are of a very similar size and this gives the shadows an overall cohesiveness. Very nice.
