Floyd’s First National Music Festival is in Full Swing
It took attending classical music solo performances like the one above at The Floyd Country Store to force me to figure out how to mute my camera beep. Check out THIS double bass performance and a lively conducting style of the NMF Symphonic Wind Ensemble HERE. More coverage and photos coming in The Floyd Press this week.

I LOVED that conductor! He was feeling the music from the top of his head to the tips of his toes!

well I truly enjoyed all three performances but my favorite is the young girl. judging by her shyness at the applause and her reluctance to look up, into the audience during their thank-you, it must have taken quite a lot for her to get up there and perform. she was amazing. I’m a huge cello fan. thanks for sharing Colleen.

She’s one of the youngest apprentice’s at the festival. I also think she and others get so intense/emotional with their playing that they lose themselves and maybe forget the audience.

I plan to go to the chamber music concert @ the high school Tuesday night. $10, what a deal! I love seeing student efforts. I just enjoyed “Oklahoma” @ the high school, the talented and the not so talented but hopeful ones.
