Wonderful. But nobody will.
The other night as a storm kicked up I noticed the crickets chiming in as if they were keeping time with the music behind the drama. They have an essential role!

A wonderful simile, Colleen. Crickets do sound like that, though I find the sound of crickets far more pleasing than a dial tone! 🙂

Far more to this than meets the eye (or ear), The drone of the crickets, for me, could be any number of things that disrupt/thwart our dreams.
