All I Want to Do is have Some Fun
All I wanna do is have some fun … I got a feeling I’m not the only one … All I wanna do is have some fun … until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard ~ Sheryl Crow
The streets in San Diego were dotted with tattoo parlors. Here in Santa Monica it’s yoga studios and Buddha statues. It smells nice, like rosemary, jasmine and other unnamed sweet blooms.
The Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica Pier is solar powered. Signs warn fishermen against eating the fish they catch because of possible contamination. Everyone gathers at the end of the pier to watch the sunset like they do in Key West, Florida.
“I’m so glad he’s reading a real book and not a kindle,” I said to Joe about the man we saw stretched out on Eucalyptus tree branch overlooking the pier.
The plants are exotic. The weather is near 70. The homeless are evident everywhere we go.
Three things I always look for when I’m in a new city are tea parlors, thrift shops and merry-go-rounds. I found them all and so much more.

I’m a 5 on the enneagram, which explains everything (an observer/thinker) and a social scientist at heart.

Great pictures, Colleen…It is wondrful to see the familiar through someone elses unfamiliar eyes…! You notice things others might not….LOVE the man reading while sitting up against the tree….
Those are Agace’s that are flowering right now….A lovely plant and an exotic looking flower, isn’t it?
LOVE the picture of the Ferris Wheel going ’round at the Pier….! Looking forward to more, my dear.

We have a merry-go-round in Chattanooga. Let me know when you and Joe come my way, even if just passing through, and I’ll take you to Coolidge Park so we can all ride the merry-go-round together.
