Gone Hollywood

That’s me on the steps of the Kodak Theater. It’s as close to going to the Academy Awards as I’m likely to get.
“What Byrce Would Like.” We took this picture for our 3-year-old grandson.
R2D2 left a tread marks. John Wayne left an imprint of his fist. Groucho and George Burns left their cigar prints and and Clint Eastwood left this.

Not seeing the Hollywood sign while in LA would be like not seeing the Eiffel tower during a trip to Paris.
At Grauman’s Chinese Theater. I didn’t see him fly, but it was a super vacation all around.
Back in Virginia now. I’ll be watching the Oscars on TV from a front row seat at home.

Wonderful pictures, Colleen….(My post today is all about the “characters” who dress up and stand out front of Grauman’s and The Kodak….)
I took a picture of the Hollywood Sign, through that opening while riding in a car…..! I will send it to you, my dear…..

I wonder if the Oscars will be a little more exciting since you have been near the area? I have been to LA many times but hubby avoids places like that and I doubt I will ever get to see them.

I have been watching the Academy Awards since I was a teenager and have loved them. Naomi tells me they are better watched on TV because otherwise it’s like being a Times Square when the ball drops. You see hardly nothing. I didn’t take the tour, Naomi. Joe toured me around. Maybe next time.

Looks like fun and a fantastic trip. i would love to go to Hollywood and just may as I have a cousin who lives in one of the surrounding cities!

Isn’t it amazing that I have lived in California, 20 minutes away from Hollywood and I’ve never seen those foot prints or signature from Clint Eastwood!
