Barefoot at Barefoot Bob’s (aka Daddy’s Beach Club)
I tried to dance barefoot at Daddy’s Beach Club next door to Barefoot Bob’s, but the floor was so dirty that a layer of black grime covered the bottom of my feet and by the end of the first song I headed for the bathroom to scrub them with soap and paper towels.
We enjoyed our cold beer on tap, dancing and mingling with the crowd of all ages. It wasn’t until the following day that I learned the beach bar next door had just been featured in an episode of the reality show Kitchen Nightmare’s with Gordon Ramsey. I mistakenly thought we were at Barefoot Bob’s and the next day every time I mentioned how much fun we had dancing, someone would ask about the renovations. I didn’t see any. It looked the same as the last time I was there dancing to Sid Slack Elastic Waist Band. That’s because it wasn’t Barefoot Bob’s.
The music was so loud that I had to plug up my ears with paper but it didn’t interfere with me singing along to the rock songs of the 70’s – 90’s. We never found out who’s birthday it was. I don’t think the Happy Birthday banner was for me. HERE’S a favorite we danced to, which I told my sister Sherry’s husband Nelson (who only danced one song) was more fun than sailing while smoking a pipe (two of his favorite activities).

Having a good time. I have to bring earplugs to my son’s band events or I won’t be able to hear for days.

Looks like you were having a great time…Except for the grime on the bottom of your feet…OY!

Oh dear! I’m sure I would have wanted to scrub my feet too! Otherwise, it sounds like a fun night out. 😉

What fun!! I think I’d be – like you – a little over-wary of the dirty floor (and my feet)!!!

Yeah, I thought I was at Barefoot Bob’s and then later discovered it was Daddy’s Beach Club. I say that in the post here.
