13: Take Note
1. I experienced brain freeze for the first time recently when the power went out and I had to wash my hair with cold well water.
2. Best review of the book Fifty Shades of Gray, posted by a Facebook friend: I just read a few pages and I gotta say that I just don’t get it. If a man ever proposed such shenanigans to me I’d pull up my pants and go home!
3. I never really needed to know 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover but THIS video on 25 Ways to Tie a Scarf has been invaluable to me.
4. My blog is like my own personal gallery where I hang my latest pictures, poems and thoughts.
5. Blogging is an act of self-sufficiency that isn’t dependent on editors and publishers. Not only is it an immediate forum where you can develop your writing skills, I also believe that when you share your creative output, creativity grows larger in you. ~ More on Speaking Blogish HERE.
6. HERE is a list of 13 Things you were not taught in school about creativity, such as “There is no right answer.”
7. As far as I’m concerned a girl’s best friend has never been diamonds. These days it’s a sundress. See HERE.
8. I almost titled that poem Sleeveless for Breezeless.
9. Yesterday Bryce and Liam (my grandsons) and I were dancing to a song about an elephant when Bryce, who had been to a dinosaur show in Roanoke over the weekend, told me that mastodons stink, but I think he meant to say they were “extinct.”
10. Couch Potatoes, NOT! Watch THIS example of how Bryce, Liam and I like to spend our time (and not so unlike how Josh, Dylan and I used to play).
11. I believe the Gansters of today are white collar Banksters. As if the recent bank failures weren’t bad enough, I just read about how HSBC has been laundering Mexican drug money.
12. My idea of Happy Hour is the 3:00 adult swim at the pool.
13. I suspect it was an Irishman who came up the word Shenanigans.

25 ways to fold a scarf would totally work for me.
I think they need to put some of these bankers in prison instead of just slapping them with fines.

I definitely agree with #5. Blogging is an interesting and creative way of expressing all kinds of things. I am especially fond of the community aspect of it. Some days comments from my bloggers are all the communication I have with others, and it is always welcome.

Thank you for #3 and #5. #3 because I am helpless in that regard. And #5 because I think that many of those who abandon their blogs for FB will regret it. Blogs and social media have different purposes, and this link helps illustrate the Beauty of the Blog.

That video about how to tie a scarf…thank you! I can use that.
Sundresses are the most wonderful thing, I think you are right.

You are a braver grandma than I … all I saw with that video is a potential concussion! 😉

“13. I suspect it was an Irishman who came up the word Shenanigans.”
Me, too, it’s sounds too much like the Irish name Brannigan.
