Unlike us humans, birds are in no need for a permanent domicile – except to start a family, and when the youngsters ‘leave the nest’, a branch is preferred. The birds do not stay long enough to become hoarders…

My Birthday was June 27th…So, it has come and gone. And considering the circumstances, the day was quite lovely…!

Oh, I was thinking it was July 27!
I believe this nest was built and never used, but there is a birdhouse right next to it that has a wren family living in it.

Great shot! Last year I had window boxes and a bird made in nest right in the impatients window box. I never got to see the baby and hope she lived, but everytime I watered the mother fly out of the flowers.
