The Blue Bathrobe
The taffeta of terry cloth
The royal of blue collar
The going to the opera
of staying at home
It’s the fur coat of bathrobes
The full length informal
Cinched at the waist
with pockets for tissue
It’s the latest in evening wear
The big teddy towel
I’m dreaming of a monogram
I’m undressed in style

I can’t wait until it gets cool enough here to wear my huge fluffy big-pocketed used pink bathrobe I got at a yardsale!! We can go to the opera at home together, you and I.
Loved this, Colleen!!

I have a purple one now that I got at Goodwill. I had two blue ones in row that I wore out! For me, it’s gotta be cotton terrycloth and not polyester.

Somehow, the older the bathrobe the more comfy-cozy it is, for me….Great Poem, Colleen…..”UNDRESSED IN STYLE”…Love That!

admire how you embrace what you used to write. a week or two, if that, after I’ve written anything, I’ve disowned it.
