The Muse That Drives Me
Full moon temptation
at the traffic light
The red light says STOP
but the moonlight says COME
yield to your natural signals
Note: This poem is more than a decade old, but the photo was taken yesterday. I saw it at the traffic light in Floyd and pulled over in front of Farmers Supply to snap it. Skywatch Friday

Beautiful picture – I love when the moon is out during daylight – such a neat juxtaposition.

Full moon temptation….this grabbed me immediately. so much so I almost didn’t read the the remainder of the lines.
Reminds me of the lines in Neil Young’s Harvest Moon:
Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say

Just like children sleeping
We could dream this night away
But there’s a full moon rising
Let’s go dancing in the light
We know where the music’s playing
Let’s go out and feel the night

Nicely! I once wrote a silly poem called mid-afternoon moon, of course I can’t find it now you’ve reminded me about it. Love the last line of yours though.
