Not to rub it in, but we are here on the beach at HIlton Head…wishing you were here because I know you would so appreciate that. Today, though, is too cold to swim.

Between sickness (mostly Joe) and snow, we’ve been joking about our bizzaro world vacation where all our regular activities have stopped and taking pictures of birds, having breakfast together and watching a HOUSE episode are the highlights of the our simple days.

The blue Jay picture is really great. I also love how you can actually see the snow falling. That IS a great new camera you have.
Let’s hope this is the last chance at snow pictures.

There are so many bluebirds in MA but they are rare here in VA. I took the blue jay shot from the house and the camera is good enough that I can crop it and still have some defined quality. I have another camera with a much better zoom but the quality isn’t as good. I have noticed that pretty colored birds are more skittish or timid whereas plain birds don’t care if I sit on the porch and shoot. The red cardinal won’t have any of it.
