A Triple Play
I Revelry
Shrill daffodil
Bright yellow yell
A trumpet
for tight-lipped tulips
II Flower Power
My house loves butter
It glows in spring with forsythia
With thousands of lampshades dangling yellow
Bright bulbs illuminate April
III Sloshed
Spring sky weeps
into overwhelmed puddles
Hooded jonquils huddle
like drunks at a bar

Lucky you to have so much beauty at your doorstep and to have such a long draw view of the rest of the world.

Yellow is my favorite color! I find the flowers on the spice bush at this time of year to be so pretty.

I really love the three poems. Relaxed, refreshing… they have the deceptive simplicity of Haiku.
