Do you do as much meditation as your husband?

In this complicated world, our minds become so cluttered we seem unable to make a decision. This, a period of relaxing meditation allows us to truly recharge. Need to quit the clutter – he is charing his batteries the right way while the ‘traffic’ gets lighter…

I started meditating (TM) daily around 1974 and did it for about six years twice a day. When I had kids I only did it sporadically. I started doing passage meditation in the around 2000 or so and did it daily for about 6 years. I don’t currently meditate regularly but Joe does. I don’t feel that I’ve lost the benefit by not doing it regularly and am enjoying my hiatus from the practice.
The poem was written sometime in the 90’s.

i’ve often thought that we should be able to purge the unused “stuff” in our brains like you do with a computer…so that you’d have room for what you want to remember. i believe that mediation, in a sense, is purging. great shot! happy weekend.

A lovely capture. I can feel the ease of breath in this and how perfect you describe the chaos of the mind as downtown traffic. Well done!

Nice… When I meditate during yoga it brings a serene feeling.. Unfortunately this past year I have not done much of it after having a shoulder injury.

Nice. The mantra is a shortcut to the meditative state. The only meditative practice I’ve continued for many many years is sunrise and sunset observations. It seems to suffice most of the time.

nod, often entering breath is the best possible option.

I do yoga and love it but have not been really able to be successful at meditation. Wish I could.
