Rain on the Parade
Well it’s been raining pretty hard today and I just read on the Floydfest Facebook site that the traditional noon children’s parade has been cancelled (always a big draw for me). The latest festival update says: “The Boston Boys are up and running on main stage. Most of our stages are still on schedule with the exception of Flower of Life. Check back for updates! Dancing in the rain has never been so fun!” (Reminding me of THIS.)
My husband Joe, son Josh and his girlfriend Christy are onsite. I just spoke to Josh on the phone. Everyone is fine and Josh just finished his 11:00 collage journal workshop in the Imagine Tent (another one happens at 6:00). I hope to make it up to the site in the late afternoon, bring more umbrellas and report on the mud and music if I can, especially Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero (who I have been jokingly calling Edward Sharpe and the Scissorhands). Meanwhile, Thursday and Friday the weather was perfect. Here are a few videos clips I took yesterday. You can also read yesterday’s post “So, What’s New at Floydfest?” HERE.

Still haven’t seen you. Hope you guys don’t wash away. I am staying home today. Martin is back up because he his friends have traveled far to be there. I will be back up for tomorrow’s great lineup. But I hate to miss Edward Sharpe. Really wanted to catch that one. I will be canning pickles instead and staying dry. Hope I get to see you tomorrow and that Amy gets her hug.

Keep a watch out for me! Sunday is the day my son and family from Roanoke come up, so I will be giddy with the kiddies and looking forward to Old Crow. I’m going to try hard to get onsite and see Edward Sharpe and will report back. Hope you got to see the Lumineers.
