Summer Slug
My ambition rises
in a sluggish summer day
to the number of squash bugs
in my garden
Death by squish
is not for the squeamish
I’m the mother of butternut

ha. this year its the japanese beetles on my grape vine…they will eat it right up…mama bear to the butternut squash…smiles.

I love it! My personal war is against earwigs…not too many slugs in the high desert but my Mom lives at the beach and when she was able she loved to get those snails!
