You can tell that summer is going to cloes. The days are a fraction shorter and the air getting a touch coller and drier. Makes me appreciate the lushness of summer all the more.

The yellow swallowtail is VA’s state butterfly and they are currently flying all over. They outnumber the black swallowtail by far. I just sit on the grass in the paradise of my own yard and watch the show.
