The Mountain Sees its Breath
Morning clouds cling
to its bony spine
Smoke rings rise
from its bowl
A fire breathing yawn
rolls out the sun
burning a hole in the fog

I can actually see that bony spine in your photo… What a truly blessed life you must have Colleen.. (aside from your ability to notice its beauty and wonder.) So many others seem to pass by it in their hurried way without a second glance, never realizing that in every bit of our eye’s field of vision lays the glorious wonder of this life…..

I wrote a poem a few years ago about a similar scene. Your words, personifying to me, paint it so well.

I like to think that people can be strong as mountains and do the same.
