Fall Flavor
Red roasted day
Breeze spreads like butter
Chimes celebrate
fall’s feast of color
Steeped in Indian
summer sun
shades of cinnamon
honey and pumpkin
Cardamom, cloves
nutmeg and ginger
turn up the flavor
of fall’s spicy simmer

smiles…the breeze spreading the butter of the day…that is a very cool thought and image….
the cinnamon, pumpkin and such gave me the smell of the season as well…

Lovely photo, Colleen. I think Indian summer has now left our area. Quite chilly here this week.

I like how you appeal to our senses Colleen, the colors, sounds and spices. A very apt evocation of the season!

The sense of dried leaves is so strong here– whether fallen from trees or spices! Very clever.
