I’m Proud of the Blisters I Got Dancing to The Kind on New Year’s Eve
We watched the ball drop at the bar, over fish tacos and beer, but that was after we had danced two sets straight without sitting down.
The Kind at The Pine Tavern is a New Year’s tradition in Floyd. The band has a dedicated following, or should I say dead-icated, since they play mostly Grateful Dead covers. The playing was top notch and the dancers, some of the happiest I have met, didn’t hold back.
We also had our midnight kiss at the bar. It was a good night, full of high energy, camaraderie, a found crown and a couple of dancing fool blisters. Below is a Happy New Year clip.

A nice cozy New Years! I guess I have to put on my bucket list getting blisters by dancing!

You could be proud of yourself for seeing midnight. After a weekend with grand kids, we didn’t hold out but got woken by neighbor hood noise (big discussion this morning that hopefully those loud pops were fireworks!)
