YAC Sets Sail with New Production
~ The following appeared in The Floyd Press on January 2, 2014
The Young Actors Co-op (YAC) presented their latest production, Tales of the Windship, with three shows on December 13, 14 and 15th.
Performed at June Bug’s Black Box Theater, the play was written by Fengar Gael in narrative style and incorporated folktales from England, France, Germany, China, Russia and Mexico. The play’s main character, Nobody, was whirled onstage from the audience. Guided by the wind and Captain Whiffinpuff, the lost girl embarked on the Windship for a time travel adventure into fairytale lives, designed to help her remember who she was.
Directed by Corey Avellar, the production featured creative set designs and rustic Old World costumes.
Taking on the accents of their characters, 17 young actors played various roles, including Kings, a Queen, a dwarf, a dragon, maidens and maids, a mouse, a magician, a lazy boy and a self absorbed princess.

It is and it makes it even more fun that I know most of them and have watched some of the older actors grow up and move on.
