Apothecary Moon
A cool salve of moon
to soothe the day’s fever
is a night medicinal
in a glass open jar
is a lip gloss of light
to soften rough edges
to kiss goodnight
the last of the day

LOVE the title, and the premise that the moon has such soothing balm. Lovely.

lovely imagery…
ah, “in a glass open jar” had me picturing those old brown bottles. there was a smell to them, sweet but metallic, so that i could almost tell when they were in a box in my basement before the rattling gave ’em away.
also, your poem made me think of how cure and ailment are malleable… (over time, society, culture, etc.)
