Let the Curtain Fall
Leaves swish and flutter
like hushed applause
on an emptying stage of days
A spotlight sun lowers
on a gold laden story
Crows add drama
foretell the future
from the bright heights of glory
to the bare boned unknown

The fall becomes something of the end of a drama, the applause, the spotlight.. it put me there right at the theater.. and what remains afterward? the boned unknown .. I really love that.
