The Age Equation
The older I get
the less I have
to prove
or to say
(something new)
The more I’m bored
with routine sameness
the less I like changes
Is less really more
and more never enough?
I know more
but remember it less

Very nicely expressed. Life seems to be navigating opposites.

Time and experience bring wonderful things into our lives. We learn so many new things, start not caring so much about what we thought indispensable… Love how your poem has explained these feelings. ♥

Yep, sometimes I feel that way myself.

I think age can become so much more ambiguous than youth.. splendid wittiness.

Wittily expressed! (Yes, I know the feeling.)

You’ve captured the contradictions of time beautifully.

Yes, I agree you have captured time’s contradictions so well I wonder if we are like dogs chasing their tails.

Such a beautiful expression.. indeed as we grow older our priorities tend to change and we become less inclined towards uncertainty.
Lots of love,

With time we gain maturity and see the world differently.
