No, This is Not a Picture of Joe Cross Country Skiing
He’s actually recovering from out-patient foot surgery and those are crutches!
These pictures were taken yesterday (Thursday), and things have changed around here since then. The snow has been falling for hours now and there is no longer any sight of the ground.
As of noon today (Friday) this guy is completely covered. Guess we’ll just have to grin and bear it, what has been reported to be a historic snow fall over the course of the weekend.

best wishes to joe in a quick recovery. in the meantime, hope both of you stay safely INSIDE – not the time to have a little spill in the snow/ice! I have never seen more than about 13 inches of snow at one time. cannot even imagine the 30″+ they are talking about for some.

Those crutches look like they’d be great with skis (minus the surgery of course…)

Sorry to hear the snowfall has been as bad as predicted! I did think Joe was cross country skiing when I first saw the photo. The surgery sounds painful.

Well, we had a total of 12 inches by 4:00 PM but just after going out and measuring that it started really falling tonight and we got white out. Who knows. WE only lost electricity for a couple of hours, so I am happy for that.

I think we only got about a foot here and never lost power! That might be it!

Hoping Joe recovers quickly. Our east coast was hit really bad- not so much here in Indiana, thankfully.

Oh, I’ve seen how much snow has come down on so many areas this weekend-wow. I’m sure it is an epic recording wher eyou live. I also hope that there were no unwelcomed surprises!

The idea of walking with crutches on ice and snow rather freaks me out. Careful!
